Governance and Policies

Unibridge Group brings together businesses across education and training, each with its own expertise, identity and responsibilities. Our approach to governance is intended to support responsible leadership, clear accountability and high standards across the Group.

The statements below set out the standards we expect in our corporate activity and across the businesses within their approved scope. Each business remains responsible for its own services, learners, staff and legal obligations.

Governance and accountability

Group leadership provides strategic direction, investment and support. Business leaders are responsible for managing their organisations and meeting their obligations. Decisions should have clear ownership, appropriate authorisation and an accurate record. Matters affecting quality, finance, risk or compliance must be referred to the responsible leader and escalated where necessary.

University partnerships, accreditation and regulatory recognition apply to the particular institution, programme or qualification covered. Group membership does not extend that recognition to other businesses.

Ethical conduct and anti-bribery

We expect employees and anyone acting on our behalf to conduct business honestly and responsibly. Bribery and improper payments are not acceptable, whether made directly or through another person. Gifts, hospitality, donations and sponsorship must not be used to influence decisions improperly. Any gift or hospitality that could create a conflict should be declared and referred for approval before it is offered or accepted. Transactions must be recorded accurately. Suspected bribery or improper conduct should be reported through our speaking up route.

Conflicts of interest

Personal, financial, professional or family interests must not compromise decisions. Anyone involved in a Group decision should declare any actual, potential or perceived conflict before taking part. Relevant interests and the action agreed to manage them should be recorded.

Depending on the circumstances, the person may be excluded from the discussion or decision, or an independent review may be required. Related party transactions require appropriate scrutiny and authorisation. Consultancy relationships must not influence assessment, qualification approval or awarding decisions.

Public funding and financial accountability

Where a Group business receives public funding, the funding must be used for its agreed purpose and under the relevant agreement. The responsible business must keep accurate records, support its claims with evidence and cooperate with authorised audits.

Those responsible for funding should check eligibility, claims and expenditure, report errors and address suspected misuse promptly. Public funding arrangements vary between businesses; the Group does not suggest that every business or programme is publicly funded. Suspected fraud or misuse should be raised through our speaking up route.

For admissions, fees and refunds, student complaints and appeals, safeguarding, academic regulations, student protection and regulatory information, please visit the relevant business’s website.

These statements cover Unibridge Group’s corporate activity and the standards it expects of its businesses. Group leadership is responsible for oversight; each business leader is responsible for implementation within their organisation. For general enquiries, send an email to contact@unibridgegroup.co.uk. Serious concerns should use the speaking up routes below.

Speaking up and whistleblowing

Employees and others working with us are encouraged to raise concerns about suspected fraud, bribery, serious misconduct, unsafe practice or regulatory breaches. Personal employment grievances should normally follow the relevant employer’s grievance procedure.

Concerns should be assessed by an appropriate person who is not implicated in the matter. Information should be shared only where needed. Confidentiality will be respected as far as possible, subject to legal and safeguarding obligations. Retaliation against someone who raises a concern honestly is not acceptable. Nothing in this statement prevents appropriate reporting to a prescribed regulator or seeking independent advice.

Safeguarding

We are committed to supporting safe learning and working environments. Each provider is responsible for maintaining safeguarding arrangements appropriate to its learners and activities, including named contacts and reporting procedures.

Report a safeguarding concern directly through the relevant provider’s published route. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. General website enquiries are not an emergency reporting service. Group leadership should ensure that concerns requiring wider oversight are referred to the responsible safeguarding lead without delaying urgent action.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Accessibility and Inclusivity are Group values. We aim to treat learners, colleagues, applicants and partners fairly and respectfully. Discrimination, harassment and victimisation are not acceptable. Decisions should be based on relevant and consistent criteria.

We will consider reasonable adjustments and access needs in our corporate activity and recruitment. Providers manage support for their own learners under their applicable policies. Contact the relevant employer or provider to request support or raise a concern about treatment.

Responsible partnerships and recruitment

Partnerships and recruitment should support suitable opportunities and provide clear, accurate information. Checks should establish a partner’s identity, capability, relevant status and any conflicts before an agreement is made. Responsibilities and permitted activities should be recorded and reviewed.

Recruitment information must accurately describe the provider, qualification, fees, funding, eligibility and application process. Entry and assessment requirements must not be bypassed to meet recruitment targets. Agents may act only where authorised by the relevant business and should be monitored against the agreed standards. Promotional arrangements should be transparent. Employment, funding, visa or progression outcomes must not be presented as guaranteed without an approved and substantiated basis.

Quality and academic integrity

We support high educational standards and continuous improvement. Each provider is responsible for its delivery and assessments, alongside the responsibilities of its university or awarding organisation. Learner feedback and quality concerns should inform appropriate improvement action.

Assessment must reflect authentic work and the applicable rules. Providers set requirements for referencing, permitted assistance and use of AI. Academic decisions and appeals follow the relevant provider’s procedures. Public claims about qualifications and recognition must identify the specific organisation or provision concerned.

Complaints and Concerns

We welcome feedback about Unibridge Group’s website, communications and corporate activity. If something has gone wrong, please tell us so that it can be considered by the appropriate team.

Making a complaint

Email contact@unibridgegroup.co.uk with the subject “Complaint”. Include your contact details, a clear description of the issue, relevant dates and the outcome you are seeking. Provide supporting information where it is relevant and tell us if you need an adjustment to use this process.

How your complaint will be considered

Your complaint will be referred to the appropriate person for review. The reviewer should not be directly involved in the matter complained about. We will explain the next steps and expected response time, and keep you informed if more time is needed. Our response will explain the outcome and any action proposed.

If you remain dissatisfied, reply explaining why and ask for the matter to be referred for further review by someone not involved in the initial response. We will explain the review route available for the matter concerned.

Complaints about a Group business

Course, admissions, fee, assessment, service and student complaints should follow the relevant business’s published procedure. Academic appeals and any external review rights remain those applicable to that provider. Contacting the Group does not replace those procedures or extend their deadlines. Employment grievances use the employer’s HR procedure.

Urgent or serious concerns

Safeguarding matters and suspected serious misconduct should use their specialist reporting routes. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Privacy concerns can be raised through the Privacy page. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office about personal information handling.

This procedure covers Unibridge Group’s corporate activity. The relevant business’s own procedure applies to its learners, customers and employees.
